Important note: Any files shared with portal users are shared with all portal users, past, present, and future.
Items like notes, incidents, forms, and attachments can be shared with CaseStream Connect portal users. Events are automatically shared with approved portal users.
Sharing new items with portal users #
When creating a new item in YouthCenter, if it can be shared with portal users, you will find an Add to Portal button next to the Share and Add to Daily Log buttons. Simply select the Add to Portal button before pressing save.

Sharing existing items with portal users #
Existing items can be shared with portal users by editing the item and pressing the Add to Portal button before pressing save.
Items shared this way will show up for portal users in reverse chronological order. If the portal user has multiple associated clients, the item will indicate which client it relates to.

Notifications of an item shared #
Forms #
When a form is shared in a portal, the portal user will immediately receive a notification that looks like below.
Clicking “Access the Form” will allow the user to fill out the form within the system

Attachments, Incidents, Notes, etc. #
When other object types, outside of forms are shared, the portal user will be notified once every 24 hours.
