All information inputted into Safeguard is then simultaneously linked to your YouthCenter.

SafeGuard is currently in use in limited Residential and Detention facilities. For more information on SafeGuard or a demonstration, [please contact us](https://www.youthcenter.net/contact/) or view a webinar [here](https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_TsjPs1-XQXy_-pohCF8UzA#/registration).

## Menu Items

![A screenshot of a SafeGuard device on the Menu screen, with a "1 Overdue To-Dos" banner and options for Update All Medical Information, Pending Transactions, and Send Debug Logs, followed by the app version number. #### **Update All Medical Information**

Medical staff can now download the latest medication schedules for all active clients in one tap — before starting rounds, while you still have a connection.

If you lose connectivity during rounds, the app will already have up-to-date medication schedules and history on hand so you can keep working without interruption.

If you're offline when you tap the button, or the update doesn't complete successfully, a message will let you know and prompt you to try again once you're reconnected.

**How to use it**

Open the Menu and tap "Update All Medical Information."

The app will fetch the latest data for all active clients. You'll see a brief loading indicator while it works, and a confirmation message once it's done

![The same Menu screen on a SafeGuard device, with a red arrow graphic pointing to the "Update All Medical Information" button.](https://docs.youthcenter.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-62.png)

#### **Pending Transactions Page**

When you're offline, the app saves any actions you take and syncs them to the server automatically once your connection is restored.

![The same Menu screen on a SafeGuard device, with a red arrow graphic pointing to the "Pending Transactions" button.](https://docs.youthcenter.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-64.png)

At the top of the page, three cards show:

- How many items are queued
- How many have failed
- How long the oldest item has been waiting

These cards are ordered by the newest first, with failed items always at the top.

Each card shows the action type, who it's for, when it was recorded, and how long it's been waiting. A colored left border makes status easy to spot at a glance: amber for queued, red for failed.

![A screenshot of a SafeGuard device on the Pending Transactions screen. A summary box highlighted in red shows counts for Queued, Failed, and the oldest item's age, along with the last sync time and a Sync Now link. Below is a list of queued and failed transactions - such as a note, medications distributed, a room scan, and a client movement - each showing a client name, brief detail, and timestamp.](https://docs.youthcenter.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-66.png)

**Sync now:** Tap this button to manually trigger a sync. If you're still offline, a message will prompt you to reconnect first.

![The same Pending Transactions screen on a SafeGuard device, with a red arrow graphic pointing to the Sync Now link.](https://docs.youthcenter.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-68.png)

#### **Diagnostic Logging**

SafeGuard now quietly keeps a log of app activity in the background. This helps our support team quickly understand what's happening if something goes wrong, without any extra effort on your part.

Logging runs automatically — there's nothing to turn on or configure. The app keeps a secure record of activity on your device, limited to the last 24 hours, so it never takes up significant storage space.

How to use if you're experiencing an issue and a support team member asks for your logs:

Open the Menu and tap "Send Debug Logs."

For the next 24 hours after you send, the app will continue forwarding new logs automatically so our team has the full picture.

All log data stored on your device is encrypted, so it's protected even if the device is lost or shared.

![The same Menu screen on a SafeGuard device, with a red arrow graphic pointing to the "Send Debug Logs" button.](https://docs.youthcenter.net/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/image-65.png)
